Due to the size of our humble operation, we have not had the opportunity to use Malachi as much as we would have liked.  The calves we have seen from heifers are light to moderate in birthweight, with the lightest being 63lbs, and the heaviest being in the upper 80's.  In the calves that he has sired to date, we have seen strong pigmentation, good growth and adequate muscle.  The few "seasoned" cows we placed him have produced very nice offspring.   He was purchased by Preston DuBose and has been working in a commercial program.  Mike Willis and us still have partial ownership and semen interest in the bull and we have Malachi semen is for sale, so you can try him in your own herd.  Look for more of his offspring for sale, and daughters in production in the future.
"Malachi's"
Although Malachi only shows 18 offspring currently recorded with the AHA, he has seen use in 7 different herds, both commercial and registered.  His calves are very promising, with several outstanding examples in 2005 and 2006. One of which is became a sire for our herd. Malachi throws good pigmentation in his calves and good muscle expression.  His first daughters are in production and have beautiful udders.  He will see use in our herd again for 2011 and 2012.
