Victor's
Victor's calves began to hit the ground in March of 2013, and our bull selection has paid off.  Most of his calves are coming lighter from the same cows as last year, and they are beautifully marked.  They also have displayed very strong vigor and appear to have good tops.  We are anxious to see how they grow out for the next 6 months. Thank you Windhorst Polled Herefords, we are very pleased with the results!

The calf on the left is the very first sample of Vic.  Her dam is a daughter out of our old herd bull Chunk!

Tom and Tina
We put Vic to work within about 3 weeks of getting him to the farm.  He had just enough time to check out the scenery, get used to the heat,  and wait for a group of cows to breed.  Since he was still a young yearling, he was placed with about  8 head.  All those cows were settled.  He was then exposed to some late fall early spring cows and a group of fall heifers.  We will be watching the heifers close to see the results of his calving ease in these first time mommas.
